Some friends have a high mile 2005 R52, recently they pulled the head as it had low compression on #3, they're doing a valve job and the shop says the cam is "worn out"..... So, anyone have a good lightly used cam they'd like to donate to a good cause? My friends are in charge of the local pet rescue and have little to no money. I figure there has to be someone out there who's dropped in a hot cam and has their old one laying around........if you don't want to donate, let me know how much and I'll pass it along but we need to get their car back on the road. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Yeah, I suggested they call Helix and RMW both to see if they had one lying around and Helix sold them one for $50! Score! Now they can get on with putting the car back together and back on the road.
Thanks Rally, they have the head back, but while it was down I suggested they replace the chain and guides so they're in the middle of that right now. Appreciate the thought!
