I will post a pic tomorrow (I accidentally deleted the one I had taken). My RSB needs to be replaced because it literally broke through & through at the right-side edge of the bushing on the passenger side. Potholes in NE Ohio are horrid!!! I definitely want to replace with another 22mm RSB because I know I wouldn’t be a happy driver going back to OEM. I will post links of the two RSB I’m considering on buying.
Consider the H-sport comp bar. 25.5mm but hollow, so much lighter than a 22mm solid bar, but same stiffness as a 22mm solid bar. Here’s one of many sources for one: https://www.waymotorworks.com/h-sport-competition-rear-sway-bar.html It’s a widely used quality product, and what are the odds of two H-sport bars in a row breaking?
No Way I'd buy from that vendor. This what I had on my MINI, it went for 126,000 miles in 9 years with no issues & it still works today for my cars new owner. I don't think the lighter weight means squat for a street driven daily driver. From what I've seen hollow bars are more likely to fail. My .02 is go with the H-Sport solid bar. https://www.detroittuned.com/h-sport-rear-19mm-sway-bar/ One more thing Chad & Detroit Tuned are forum sponsors. He is a great guy, very helpful, knowledgeable & honest.
Agreed on the warranty.. I would check with them. Also @Detroit Tuned is running a holiday special discount. So if you need to get one I would check with them.
Nope will show up at checkout according to the post Chad @Detroit Tuned made. The link to his post is in post #8 in this thread.
I have a Madness 22mm rear sway bar on my R50. It has been there for the last 14 years and the only thing I have ever had done to it was to replace the bushings with poly ones. The RSB was a great buy 14 years ago, and about $60 for the bushings this year seems like a worthy cost of bushing replacement, considering the new ones are poly and should last til the end of the car's lifetime, if not my own.
