Let's hope so, if I see one more racing movie showing a driver downshifting to pass whilst they are going down the long straight at 200mph ima going to puke....:sly:
Here's a temporary camera test rig Opie's techs built to try to film cars at actual race speeds. Q: What car did they destroy to build that franken-car-camera?
Opie says: "1st day of detailed race scene work" "Detail work reminds me of Apollo 13 lucky to be supported by so many owners of Historic F1 cars"
Might be but they are shooting at Blackbushe Airfield. Took some work to get that airfield too. There was a bit of local objection as the area is now a natural preserve. There was a bit of worry over disturbing the nest habits of some birds with the filming. Want to read a lot more about this... Google "Blackbushe Airfield Rush birds" You'll find quite a bit of dry reading material.
I'm looking forward to this, even tho it's off a ways.....I like what Opie can do (will he ever live down that moniker?) and I think this will live up to his previous efforts.
I actually haven't enjoyed his previous stuff, though there are a couple things of his I still want to check out. I want to see this one though regardless of who's involved, just because of the subject matter. Fingers crossed. :fingerscrossed:
