I am pretty sure I am the first (if not, one of the first!) to have a new Forge Blow Off valve installed on my 08' R56 in the U.S.

First, I want to thank Way and Jason at Way Motor Works for the upgrade.

First impressions of the Forge Blow Off Valve: When Way took it out of the box, we were very impressed with the craftsmanship and the machining. It is a very nice looking and professionally made part with a finished wiring harness and other parts that keep it looking like it was all very well planned. A definite upgrade for those of you looking to to add a little functional bling to your engine room... :-X

It also works very nicely. GTiki ('08 MCS with the JCW upgrade) seems to accelerate much smoother and eliminates that mid-gear surge when moving up through the gears. The boost seems to start almost immediately.

Downshifting is the same way as the reaction time for the blow off is much quicker than stock.

It is adjustable, as well. It comes with an additional spring that increases the tension, which in turn increases the pressure required to make it work. I don't have the box in front of me, but will post the numbers later if Way doesn't do it first.

We are planning a little mountain run tomorrow (were going to do it today, but the weather is not cooperating) and will add to this critique if I notice anything else.

If anyone is interested in a little fun run in the N. GA hills, let me know and we can plan to meet somewhere.

I will take some photos and post them shortly.

    Thanks again to WMW!

I would say it gets too darned cold up there, but it is supposed to be a high of 46 here tomorrow, so I don't think it matters!

Mountains will be even colder! I am a native Floridian, so winter just sucks to me!

You will be impressed with it! It is very cool looking and the difference was quite noticeable.

I am looking forward to hearing about the 2 stage on a factory JCW...

The standard spring in the valve is for 5-15lbs boost, the extra spring that is included is for 15-23lbs boost, so either one should work, but you can try both.

The instructions that come with it are great, the only thing you have to be careful about is a couple of the pics in the instructions are of the Peugeot turbo so if your not paying attention that will throw you off.

Yeppers. Great day. Still smooth as silk and nice accel/decel all day long. We ran about 100 miles so it was a good workout.

    Some pics:
