I don't normally do this but one of the MINI fold has hand in bringing the latest HRE designs to fruition.

I've been in to wheels for a long time, I remember more about my first set of wheels, Ronal, 5 spoke Ferrari 308 type, silver. 15x5.5 Front, 15x7 Rear, with the brand new to the market BF Goodrich Comp T/A's on my 69 Super Beetle, than I do my first girlfriend. I like wheels...

    Thanks Nathan :biggrin5:

It has been a blast working along side HRE to see the Vintage Series come to life. A lot of love, hard work, and careful thought has gone into these wheels and the series as a whole.

HRE designs, manufacturers, and finishes all their wheels in-house so they are able to develop each wheel order to the customer's liking. You can specify the PCD, widths, offsets, finishes, diameter, hardware material, etc and they'll have them made just for your car  Black centers with polished faces won't be a problem.

I think the 18x8 shown in the video rang in around 22.4 lbs. Not too shabby for a mesh design 3 piece 18.

I'm realy into the old Classic Wheels like my friend had on his '67. They had 12 blasted spokes that came out from the face of the center mounting flange about 4" and went back in to polished outers. I think they may have only been 10" tall or 12" wheels but the fronts and rears were 8" wide but he had 4" wheel flares all around! I'd love to find some that were 16" that would fit mine but maybe only 7" wide and 16" wheels! The video was great!:cornut:

I think I may have found the wheels and summer tires that I have been looking for, a set of 16"x7" Konig Backbone's in Flat Black that weigh in at 14 lb. apiece for $105.00 a wheel. They are a 6 spoke design and would mount a set of Dunlop Direzza DZ101 215/50-16" Summer Performance tires (Non Run flats) and they run $115.00 each and with the locking studs and mounted and balanced delivered to my door with free shipping they would run $945.00:D
