    Hi all,
I’m new here (obviously), I have been on NAM for a bit now but recently have been lurking here as well. I own a 2012 Countryman S All4 in Lt. Coffee & Carbon Black. I have been dealing with a few gremlins and will be (I am now) in need of some advice or direction from some more experienced Mini owners.
Hope to be a positive member here.
    Thanks

Thank you, I’m glad I have another outlet to pick brains and look for info. I definitely need it. I have had my Mini for about 8 months now and if I had know more earlier, I would have saved a bit of $ by doing more work myself, instead of paying a shop for pretty doable things.

Welcome to M/A! A lot of us here have been in NAM at one time or another, so, you are welcome here, as well.

Thanks! And by the way, as to the turbo issue. I think I may have it figured out. My new turbo is just plain making too much boost! I need to adjust the wastegate to reduce the boost pressure tomorrow and see if it takes care of the problem. But the signs are definitely pointing that way. It’s amazing sometimes how something so simple can cause so much headache, lol

I hope so, since I’m not exactly a kid any more myself, but still 15 inside (heh heh). The worst is when my 17 yo kid tells me to grow up...haha...get off my lawn!!!

I finally have my turbo fixed, my dumb airbag light fixed (my own fault, lol) and a new battery to boot. I am very pleased with the way Duncan is running right now. FINALLY having fun again!
Next up is going to be deleting the 2nd cat and resonator, but I’m having trouble finding someone to weld in a straight pipe...nobody wants to touch it....emissions, fines, blah blah, lol.
I have seen where some are using a Magnaflow 10435 straight thru muffler in place of a straight pipe there. Anybody here with that set up? How’s it sound? I’m thinking that I might have better luck if I buy that, then cut out the cat and res, clamp it in, then tell an exhaust shop that I was replacing the resonator and just want the magnaflow welded in place. Any opinions on it?
