Hello All: I've been wanting a MINI since they debuted - and finally got one on Monday. It's a 2007 Chili Red Cooper S, 6-speed with black check interior and black roof/stripes/mirrors. It looks and drives like new save for the sagging hood scoop I identified in a separate post. I'm going to MINI North Scottsdale on Friday to have it evaluated as being warped from turbo heat , and hopefully replaced. Thanks to all for the help with the diagnosis. Is there any way to determine what options/packages the car has? It seems pretty high line - pano roof, auto air, piano black interior, spoiler, heated seats, auto wipers/headlights, auto dimmer mirror, etc. I'd like to see if it has an upgraded suspension or other "hidden" option. I'd also like to know if there are any service issues I should be watching out for. I've only been able to put 15 miles on the car so far, and can't wait to hit the road for a longer trip! I look forward to reviewing the forum to learn more about the car and my fellow members. Take Care - John
You can call MINI - 866-ASK-MINI and find out. Have the last 7 characters of the VIN handy and let them know you just purchased the car and would like to know how it configured for delivery. The Service Assistant at the dealer can also find out this info when they read your key as well as view all service items performed by a dealer. Welcome to M/A, thanks for joining.
Oh very nice. I bet it was a nice feeling taking her for a ride for the very first time. Welcome to the club.
Thanks for the welcome! I guess I've officially moved to stage 1 modifications - added a union jack badge to the grill, and union jack graphics to the dashboard. That'll be it for UJ though - I think a little UJ goes a looong way!
