I just recently got my 2008 MINI...Pure Silver with Black roof, Black interior...no real mods yet... I know I want to add the black honeycomb type grill in the next few days... Congrats from another Pure Silver owner (2007 MCS). You may find the NorCal MINIs worth joining. I had a great time on their run down to see the elephant seals at Ano Nuevo State Beach. There is a run to a Napa winery coming in May, and an overnight down to Cambria for a Hearst Castle tour.
"speedkills" comes from two places for me: 1. A reference to the Oakland Raiders (yes, I'm a fan, hence the Silver & Black paintjob) 2. A song by Agent orange, Bloodstains: "Bloodstains, speed kills, fast cars, cheap thrills..." The 66 is the year I was born.

Thanks everyone for the kind words and the welcome... Yesterday I replaced my chrome grill with the JCW black grill, I left the chrome trim. IMO it looks great and makes the car look even better... Still trying to decide about stripes, but leaning toward the viper stripes... Thanks again, and see you here and on the road ... cheers.
