I have the same ones. Word of caution - get some double sided tape and tape the scuttle onto the carrier. You don't want to have to buy a second $150 pair when you lose one, like I did.

+1 either 2 sided tap or a touch of hot glue works too. BTW, they look great

they won't come off if installed correctly, there's a locking tab on the carrier that the insert has to be forced over, once over that there is no way it will come off by itself

Hey I did the very same thing on my r55 the other day. First mod on the new car.
    You have impeccable taste!

Neither of mine were ever very tight. I'd knock them out of place while washing them. They wouldn't fall out, but they sure weren't secure. I rear ended someone lightly and one fell off never to be found. I'm certainly not the only person that has lost one, I've seen threads around about it before.

+1 It's not the side scuttle that falls out...it's the insert, correct?

weird, well like i said, there is a snug locking tab that the insert fits over, mine is plenty tight, its never going to come off... maybe there are some inserts with poor molding? :confused5:

You're probably correct if yours are tight.:yesnod: I helped a fellow club member put her's on a couple of weeks ago (Black Jack Inserts) and they were very loose. She hit the back with a dab of hot glue to secure them.
