was on NAM and MINI2. Someone somewhere linked me here. Checking it out, soaking it in etc etc. Long time car enthusiast and have been in the car audio/electrical business basically my entire driving life anywhere from the DIY crowd to professionally. From cheap entry level builds to selling/installing the nice high end equipment. Also quite a forum junkie so if i like it here expect me to be asking, answering, and bickering often lol. If I ask anything MINI specific, I'm sure you will help. On the flip side, if anyone has anything car audio related to ask, ask away!
That's what I was hoping I expect respect and maturity on a message board meant to help each other.... at the same time, I don't like worrying about stepping on the toes of tight-lipped snob nosed 50 year olds who don't have a sense of humor to add to the internet.
:cornut: Welcome to MA. Even 'Snot Nosed Kids' are welcome here. We have plenty of 60yo's(like me). Where do we fit in your ideas of life? Jason
You have a sense of humor... If I say the word ass, it doesn't get censored and I don't get shunned... be any age you want, old man.
Welcome to the coolest never growing up never getting older people in the world . . . Enjoy the ride forever :biggrin5: and show us what you have ( your Mini )
My life has been so insanely busy lately that even once I wash it, I don't have time to remember the camera and snap pics. Soon enough.
Omaha decided snow was a good idea last night. I don't waste my time doing more than a rinse when the roads are wet. If it dries up by tomorrow evening, I'll do a wash and snap pics by the lake. If not, no pics. Sorry rum, you might be cool with getting pics of my car all dirty but that's just not a good first impression lol.
Your first impression has past .....Welcome to the addiction! As far as age goes, I remember when the Dead Sea took ill
It's not that I am ok with it but I live in the boondocks so I have a extremely hard time keeping vehicles clean, being that my driveway is 3/4 mile long and gravel!
I miss living in the middle of nowhere sometimes and then I remember that driveway. Every single driveway in the city is paved. Back home if the driveway was paved when looking at a house, it was a huge bonus and came with a price tag.
One of the great things about the MINI Community is that it's a diverse groups of people of many ages and backgrounds...most importantly we all love our cars and like having FUN!
I also notice(and don't take offence, I've been on luxury car forms exactly the same) that most MINI owners on the forums seem to be the "take it to the dealer" "how do i buy this thing I'm going to have the dealer install" "who changes their own oil? That's silly" type of owners.... MOST that I've seen anyway, not all of you. I'm just a DIY kind of guy and am not used to the majority of people on an internet message forum being the "buy it, plug and play, pay someone" type over the "How to save money and learn something doing it all myself" type.
