Anybody else seen them out and about? Dear God what a great looking car. I chased a black with red interior today and really wanted to car jack the owner.
I have yet to see one alive in real life. That is the way to tell for sure how something looks. Pictures are good only so good.
So angular and modern in person the pictures don't do it justice. It also looks very much like a Ferrari from the front and I love that.
It looks good but the front end is kind of odd. At least they don't have to worry about hitting European pedestrians or the front would look like a Chevy Tahoe
Saw one over the weekend - my 6 year old daughter thought it looked mean and fast .. I think Chevy hit a home run - the performance / $ ratio is silly can't wait to see the C7R - because real sports cars have race car counterparts!
I love Vettes always have and I think the rear end looks great as well. I know people bitched about the loss of 4 round lights, but the square/circle things look great with the rest of the car. The $ to performance is astounding, I can't wait to see its Top Gear lap time my guess is there will be some very expensive cars looking up to the Vette.
I love all angles except the back--I think they'll do something with it, lots of complaints about the Alice Cooper/Camaro look of the tail lights. Otherwise, in the flesh, OMG an American car I actually lust for. It looks like a supercar, for the first time I can honestly say that about a Corvette. I totally agree with what was posted above--pictures do not do this car justice, it's looks good in pictures, but in real life, it is truly a jaw dropper. Interior is light years better than what it was--not Porsche quality, but in the vicinity, instead of the cheap crap that was on the previous generation. And more importantly, the seats. They are fantastic. Phenomenal performance--only potential issue is brake fade, but the stopping distances themselves are otherworldly. For the price, if I got out of my MINI, this would be the car. Funny thing though--with PTSM, the car is so easy to drive on the track, professional drivers are actually saying after awhile it becomes ho-hum, it's just too easy to turn fast laps because the nannies will make you look good, even better than a GT-R. That would take some of the fun out of it, if you're going fast in a MINI, you at least get some of the credit. Still, I'd love to drive one. I've sat in one, but haven't driven it or even sat in the passenger seat for a drive.
We saw one parked at the Ritz in Palm Beach. It had already been wrapped in flat black. Outstanding design except for the Camaro Tail Lights. Sorry Allen!
Folks complain about the interior if the C6, but i don't take too much exception. We have a C6 and it is a fun car to drive. Plan on shopping for a C7 in 2015.
After seeing the Jag F Type coupe, my lottery winnings will go there rather than a C7. I like the C7, but love that Jag coupe. ostcount
The Jag can hold a mouse fart in the trunk, just barely. The Vette can hold two sets of golf clubs and a couple small bags. I love the look of the Jag, BUT for the money it is a total rip off due to British interior engineering. The trunk is half the size of a Miata trunk!!!
But the Jag just looks soooooooo good. Besides, with Chuck's Lottery Winnings he can afford a butler and valet to follow behind in a more sensible sedan with the luggage.
I saw the new Vette up close at the arthritis show. It's better in person than the pics. But it just doesn't work for me. I think they should have sententious curves instead of angular lines. The Camaro taillights are a mistake. But the inside is great. The best of any one yet. Now the Camaro has 200SX taillights
I can't believe you guys are so focused on the Corvette's tail lights; one of the reasons they're shaped that way is because they're part of a venting system for the differential and transmission heat exchangers. Sheesh, what's next - complaining about the F56's front end?
If you are driving the C7 it is everyone else that has to look at those tail lights. I don't mind them, but the Jag's are much nicer. Seems I'm on a Jag jag.
I'm a Vette vet, but I don't disagree with you. The Jag F Type R is sex on wheels - all it needs is a manual tranny.
Yep no manual is a glaring omission on Jag's part. Since I'll never be able to own one I'll be content to look at that sweet shape & not worry about the lack of a true manual.
