Hello everyone I recently picked up a 06 s convertable with 147000 miles on her
Everything seems to work great so I thought I recently watched a YouTube video
And seems like a stock s has a lot more blower noise then I do
And mine does seem to have a stumble and sometimes it might even feel like a misfire I don't have any dash lights that come on so I guess I'm a little stumped at the moment any help would be greatly appreciated

Do you have any maintenance records ?? If not then I'd start checking general known tune up items like air filter, plugs, plug wire, coil, supercharger belt, tensioner and if your doing the work yourself a Bentley Service Manual... and Welcome to Motoring Alliance the onlyest MINI Forum you'll ever need !!

I got the mini from the original owner and he always had serviced from the bmw place so I'm hoping they can look the car up tomorrow and get me the details. And yes I'll be doing all the work myself so I'll look into that manual and thanks for the comments

If you have a stock air filter box you won't hear much SC whine. If you want more of that sweet R53 super charger song get a cold air intake.

    Welcome to MA!

get rid of the stock air intake and cut a hole into the plastic behind the intake facing the cab. You will then hear everything. Next you will begin to wonder if it isn't time to go and replace that precious little puddle of super charger gear oil...

Misfire? Or is it just the old pop-and-burble on deceleration? Proper misfire will immediately throw an engine code. The pops that come from the exhaust are what this car is all about for me (and a reason I will always want an 05/06 R53s)

pictures - load them into a free Flickr account and then paste the Flickr image share BBCode here (and keep it at 800px wide)
