Just got my 2013 MCS 2 weeks ago. Looking for some people in the philly area. I'm also looking for some after market items. I came from an Audi A3 that I tuned to a stage 3. I'm itching to mod my mini!

Welcome to the coolest MINI forum on the net.... Dave.O is pretty cool too...His Mistress is SUPER COOL!!!!!
this is a great resource for all topics MINI and you will find many owners happy to provide their insights and ideas for mods. Personally for me, I did not change a thing on mine until the extended warranty was up. Not only paranoid something would go wrong and the dealership would claim foul because of a mod, but also because I traded up from a Grand Cherokee a wheel drive. it was a beast of a V8, off larger off road tires. wanted to learn the nuances of the MINI and a sportier ride. nine years and 125,000+ miles later, i've added several mods, but nothing too crazier. taking a diligent, balanced, and paced route. add some speed, add some suspension. more power, better brakes. blacked out chrome around it (it's pepper white). maybe some window tinting soon. for aftermarket suppliers, many abound and so far, happy with most. just depends what you want. I shop with Outmotoring.com, Way Motors Works (also my tuning shop for jobs a bit out of my skill level, though i do tuneups and maintenance myself), british atlantic, moss mini, DDM works. Imagine you should have no issues finding clubs in Philly. First rule of motoring-- enjoy the experience! second, know your limits and that of your cooper, and third, wave back!
Thanks for all the replies! I did get the windows tinted and added a Union jack black vinyl decals on the side panels! I'm really enjoying the mini. It's more than an average car. Its been the topic on my street for a while. The neighbors keep eyeballing it. Lol I spoke to the dealership about the jcw tune. I was thinking that would be the best route to mod and keep the factory warranty. However, 3500 dollars is a bit high for a tune and muffler upgrade. .lol
