That stuff looks nice. All the parts I have seen from NM have been of high quality. I wonder if they have any data showing the actual gains claimed for the aero enchantments.
Doesn't matter Crash, old buddy, you don't believe in aero enhancements. Now how do I know that?:lol: Jim
I really like the look of that wing, but alas, I am one of the few that is not into the carbon fiber thing. Not that I think it looks bad, because it does not, just not for me. :nonod: Jim
Justajim my friend, I do like aero devices. Wouldn't fly in an airplane without them.:biggrin5: I see all kinds of aero devices sold for many makes of cars with all kinds of claims made to their effectiveness. So far I have yet to see any maker that backs up those claims with real proof. Am I the only one who wonders about such things? Maybe I am. Well me guesses one pays their money & takes there chances. :fingerscrossed: Maybe I should come over to the dark side & add a couple extra rear wings & a plow or two. :ihih: Downfarce FTW!
Real proof---how about breaking track records and improving lap times by an average of one second per mile :drool. These are true results from our customers with dedicated track MINIs, Savannah Rickli's Pike's Peak hill climb MINI and week-end racers. We don't like to brag but if you want real results just ask me. Mark
Sorry I have not had any of the cool-aide. Send me a set & I'll do some free independent testing on them for you. Maybe I can lower my times to the donut shop.
I have a couple of the G-4 aero aids and they really work (IMHO), so I guess I like the Kool-Aid. Buy the way Crash, have you ever actually tried any of these things or are you just expressing your un-proven opinion? Just curious. Jim
Hey Crash---you're lucky I'm a nice guy. Leaving yourself open to jokes about the "donut shop" just keep coming to me and all I can do is laugh :donut1: Mark
:donut1: I guess you aren't going to send those parts my way for testing. Glad you are a nice guy. I am one too.
I saw these parts on the car in NM's photos in person a couple of weeks ago. Normally I don't like a ton of carbon fiber on street cars (accents here and there are ok), but visually these parts look nice. I remember looking at the side scuttles and wondering where the heck they came from, but overall liking the shape. I can't really comment on any performance improvements, but if lots of CF is your thing then these parts look great.
