R53 Mini with Crower ns1 cam and Invidia cat back: [ame=http://youtu.be/xOPKn5tctIo]R53 Mini with Crower ns1 cam and Invidia cat back - YouTube[/ame]
I have an RMW street header cat and two magna flow resonators attached to a 2 1/2 inch exhaust straight back under the battery box with twin corvette C4 tips.
I have a dog name patches and 3 monkies named, poop thrower #1-3. Also have a couch in my living room for sittin on.
The sound of a CAM at idle, I guess. Then again I have never seen and idle sound competition so I am not sure.
+1 A running car is always a good thing!! Guess a near normal idle is good for a street car.... The "loaping" idle common with aggressive cams is kinda neat...but usually means at "street" rpms it is a DOG.....cams are a bit of a tradeoff....the art is picking a cam that meets YOUR needs!! Can't wait to hear if you like it around town!!
Serious question so since my old cam was so worn the rockers were lose and had play would the new cam making them tight cause me to lose boost in the top end or is that something the ns1 cam does? I am only getting 12-14 psi when I used to get 15-16. Can I open the throttle body and put an air hose to a coupler adapter to pressurize it and listen for leaks?
The NS1 in an MCS is basically like replacing a stock cam, it doesn't really do much, some people have had disappointing dyno results but it shouldn't drop your boost like that. Leak test on a car with that many miles, and removed stock cam that looks like it was shot out of a cannon is probably a good idea.
