I'll try to post stuff but it may be tough Right now I'm someplace about 30 miles north of Knoxville. It's been raining since central Kentucky. The MINI needed gas and I needed a break. Wet interstates in KY were good. TN not so much. Car is dancing around a bit. Doesn't help these are summer tires and its like 55 degrees. Going to be a slower drive. Radar from current location. .
Better to take it slow, and get there! (Avoid MOTFB at all costs!!) (That would be "MINIs on the Flat Bed"!!)
My 2013 MOTD Adventure Mike "Das Mini" just text me he got in late late last night or was it early this morning anyway he said the weather sucks, lol. It will get better Wednesday!!!!
My 2013 MOTD Adventure Huh.... It looks wet there... The grounds keepers got the sprinklers running just for you guys?
My 2013 MOTD Adventure Lighting. Thunder. Oh my Sure glad I'm not on one of the many BMW bikes that are here. Looks like it may pass soon. Did see some folks with MINIs arrive last night.
This rain is relentless..........:frown2::frown2: 7 Day Knoxville Weather Forecast | WATE 6 News - Knoxville, Tennessee Seriously? 80%??? Looks like 10000000% to me!!! BUT got the Mini in the garage & 70% detailed!! :fingerscrossed: Glad you made it safely..........see you this coming weekend! :biggrin5: :cornut:
My 2013 MOTD Adventure Actually, the weather guessers odds for sunshine are increasing for most of the week.
We started heading down to Myrtle beach from home (Central KY) last night. 80% of the drive was trying not to hydroplane. Ended up stopping in Crossville, TN not to far from where you stopped. Hoping the rain holds out so we can enjoy the beach before heading back to the dragon on Wednesday.
My 2013 MOTD Adventure Looks like today is going to be quite wet again. Nice day to hang out in the lobby, talk to people and in general have a nice lazy yet relaxing day.
My 2013 MOTD Adventure For yucks lets see how this changes as more and more devices get on the network while the week progresses.
Hope this clears for all you folks this week, that does not bode well. Wet Dragon and MINIs with new Dragon attendees makes for a real mess. Dancing for sunshine and warm for you! Next year I think for me! Don
I'm leaving here early Tuesday and am not real comfy about my tires and hydroplaning, but I hope to get to Fontana by Katietime. Car is nearly packed, tires aired up and wheels torqued, cigars are all stashed and am looking forward to a nice Cigar Salon on the Porch Wed. night! Safe travels, everyone!
Thanks, Mark. I hope it does...just concerned about the tires as they are not the greatest in rain. Chuck's concerned about the cvt, but, IMO, it is what it is and I cannot change that, either. Oh well, if I break down, I'll just sit and smoke all my cigars until help arrives.
Now I'm concerned about your tires too. A dead CVT will not crash you, but hydroplaning of the road will. Not a place to save money old friend. :fingerscrossed: Safe travels Jeff.....
