On May 12, 2009 around approximately 4:50 PM CT, a number of HostGator's servers, the company M/A is hosted with, went down due to a widespread network outage at The Planet, HostGator's datacenter and network provider. There was a block of IP addresses that were not advertising correctly to the rest of the Internet. Approximately 25 minutes later, service was fully restored.
No worries, I was unable to make some pithy comments back to some of our canadian friends over their usage of the english language. I'll get over it
I know I don't really need to report these, but I want to. For many of you the jargon used means nothing, but that's OK. It gives me a warm fuzzy to try a keep the membership informed of issues that crop up from time to time.
