Design and usability of my website has and always will be a major thing for me. Over the years I have put a lot of effort into not only the way OutMotoring.com looks but HOW it works. The design text, logos, buttons and nearly all of the photography are done by me personally and the functionality is designed to flow how I imagine a person wants to shop online. But there is always room for improvement. MINI Cooper Accessories : MINI Cooper Parts : OutMotoring If you check out the site today you will notice some VERY nice improvements that will make shopping at OutMotoring.com much easier to use. On the left there is a basic side 'Nav-bar' (navigation bar) that allows for the macro selection of year and model MINI and then you would go deeper into each category by selecting from the small image/icons as you refine your search. On the top nav the customer support and 'extras' link to a support section of the site with its' own set of navigation that replaces the left shopping nav-bar. http://www.outmotoring.com/mini-coop...s/1-floormats/ Now, when you select a year and model MINI the sub categories appear right below the selection AND the images/icons remain as they did before. This makes it easier to know "WHERE" you are in the website and what other categories you can search in to find what you need without a lot of clicking around. This along with the 'bread crumb' trail which is the small bit of text right below the 'upper-nav' also shows you where you 'are'. On the 'index' (or the home page as it is referred) to I have added a scrolling product highlight feature that will allow new and/or notable products be showcased. Of course, you will also continue see new products every month as usual. Soon to come will be a informational section of the site that describes some of the differences between the various MINI models as well as my take on performance mods, style mods and other tidbits. It's the little things that make the shopping experience better. It's not easy to make a website that functions well and looks good as can be confirmed by simply opening your browser and reviewing a few websites. Our website is the core of the business, and, for the vast majority of people, is the only way they interact with OutMotoring. As always, enjoy your ride and drop me a line if you need a part that is not listed on the site. It's not uncommon for a customer to call and WHILE they are on the phone I will add the part they are looking for to the site so they can instantly purchase it. How's that for service? Don't try that with one of the other 'larger MINI aftermarket shops'....
