There were a few GP2 (and GP1s this year).. still looking to find my pics of the GP1s Thought this was interesting with the air brake.. no idea if it actually works or not. Wish I had gotten more pics of this and seen it in action... Another Dyno pic Classic - This was a pretty slick wrap. Had the Mini logo under the wrap.. hope pics show it. Wrap is across door etc..
Loved the Gulf themed car. Cool owner also. Classic sitting next to countryma Well sorted Countryman... (looked very goood in person) I have more pics.. will dig them up.
That Gulf themed car is owned by Mathew Davis. Cool young cat, his whole family has owned MINI's for some time now. He just got rid of a Countryman that went thru HPFP's every 5 months!
Yea - I talked to him for a little while. I think that pic is actually the family collection. He showed me the countryman and the signatures etc. Really good dude. We discussed doing some drives in Suches etc. @vetsvette brought up the back of the dragon in VA. First I had heard of that. I also spoke with the Alabama MINI group.. they do a Skip Barber event every other year.. which would also be a blast.
The air brake on the car does work. The are ismthe old Helix wilderbeast and nthoney bought it and added the wrap and functional wing. Does it aid is stopping, not really but it does work as it is controlled by a switch in the drivers area and the actuators at each end of the wing.
