Is anyone of our group planning on going to the Pittsburgh event? We could drive over Friday night, find a place to crash and be there in the morning.
I assume so, it is a great event. I have not been for years but the location and turnout is usually pretty outstanding.
Yes I was referring to Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix. Sorry I didn't there was more than one MINI event going on in Pittsburgh.
I justa registered. We are headed out very early Saturday morning 0 Dark 30 or so. Then back to town after the races. Anyone care to come along?
what time are you leaving??? I would like to go, but I still don't know. I was setting up a group to go but no one wants to go with me. I am rethinking the 3 hours there and three hours back. Jason
Last call for PVGP.... If anyone decides they want to come along to the PVGP meet us at the traditional Tim Horton's donut munch place at 6:00 AM tomorrow morning. You can still enter the car show by paying at the gate.
I just wanted to say I would like to thank Chuck and Bill for letting me tag along with them over to Pittsburgh. The roads were great. The car show was outstanding, and the Racing was awesome. It really makes things easier when you have a guide as in Bill (Chuck, Please tell Bill thanks again). The food stops were perfect. the weather couldn't have been any better. Yes the weather was good, just a few sprinkles on the drive over. Thanks you two. I need to go get my nitrous bottle refilled now I will post a few pictures in a little bit.
Jason, Bill & I enjoyed your company as well. Bill was pleasantly surprised you were able to keep up with the pace he was setting. I think Bill is not very worried about accumulating points on his licence. Great race, great friends & good food, nothing better in my book. Spacious, but expensive parking in Pittsburgh.... Jason needs to add a second gas tank to his sweet Mini.... More pictures to follow.....
Jason's Classic will flat out fly.....as I found out running with him to Mid-Ohio this year. Having one of very few 5 speeds, he motors along with anyone at highway speeds. Sweet Mini ! BTW, what are the red L's on the front and back? Haven't seen those until now.
Well it is either an upside down 7 or it says Loser. No truth be told it is L for learner, used on Brit cars. Here we set them loose with no warning.
Hey Chuck did you convert the Blu Brit to run diesel with one of them multi-fuel engines? Lotsa torque and great milage....
Hey guys, I just got on here. On the red Ls I thought it would be funny to put those on there. " Watch out for the blue Mini, he is a new driver" Thanks Mark for the compliment. and of course it is all driver skill Does anyone want to race? Chuck - I do have a right side tank to install. My large 6 gallon tank sometimes is a bit small, but I typically like to get out of the car by the time I need gas anyway.
Pictures are finally here.... My confuser had a hard drive crash on 7-22-2013 :eek6: & it has taken me this long to sweep up all the pixels & put them back in the box that lives under my desk. Thank goodness I back up to a cloud. I did manage to lose several hundred pictures from Pittsburgh though. These are the survivors. Enjoy!!! The rest are here >>> 7-20-2013 PVGP - crashton's Photos
