The weekend of July 21 is the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix. Nobody puts together a weekend car event quite like the PittStop MINI Club. The MINI Car Show at Schenley Park takes place on German Hill overlooking turn 13 on the race track. On Saturday morning the participants will meet at a predetermined location where they will attempt to spell out MINI with cars and set a new record for participants. At approximately 10:00 AM the Allegheny County Sheriffs will escort the long parade into Schenley Park in one continuous stream. This year Chris Lasko and MINI of Pittsburgh will try to set a record for the largest gathering of MINIs as they are parked to spell out MINI. He will cover the PVGP Car Show entrance fee for the weekend for anybody that participates in the Saturday photoshoot and parade! Location to be announced in June. There are prizes, awards and activities at the tent, with plenty of shade to watch the races and browse the car shows. MINIs of all years are welcome to participate. You don’t need to be a member of the PittStop MINI Club to participate, but after meeting the members we think you’ll agree that it’s a fun bunch of people that have great activities all year round. I plan on going. Leaving mid-afternoon on Friday, July 20th. That evening there is a party, then Saturday the above mentioned stuff and the races. Sat eve another party and some more racing on Sunday before heading back Sunday afternoon. It's only 3.5 hrs to Pittsburgh.
