So from what I read, I should rrally just stick with the NGK plugs. Im cool with that, they make a good product. But my question is where should I go to get a good price? Im getting a little over 50K, and I figure its about time. I however would like to avoid breakimg the bank since I have yet to replace my timebomb of a vacuume pump, I know I know "do that first!", and I will, Im just tryimg to plan my next couple of projects out so I have a plan in mind.

PM Steven at eMINIparts.com. Bought the plugs for our 2008 there, great service.

Our 2008 clubster had Beru plugs as oem. That's what I replaced them with. Nothing against NGK I use them in my other cars.

Edit.... One more thing you will need the special spark plug socket. It ain't a normal one.

Yes it does but supporting an M/A vendor and sponsor is better.:ihih:

    eMiniParts rocks!

Yeah I always like the eMiniParts "surprise" in your order. It reminds me of eating Cracker Jacks looking for the prize.

I ordered mine from Amazon. Due to bad planning on my part I was running out of time before my marathon maintenance session, so I had to avail myself of the 2 day prime shipping. Good price too.

Last time I checked the OEM plug was 3-4 times more expensive from the dealer than from a vendor. I can't see supporting a dealer parts dept. (like eminiparts) when there is that much of a difference. But this was for the 1st gen.

It pays to be a smart shopper. If I can I support a forum sponsor, seems like the right thing for me to do.

Yeah but he has not say over the price of that part, that is a BMW thing and always will be. Some part he can match and some parts he can't.

For the longest time you could only get a gen 1 (R53) tensioner from a dealer.
Now that Gates the maker of the OEM tensioner has released this part I am pretty sure no one buy it from the dealership anymore.

You have a toyota corolla that needs a water pump ?
How many miles are on the car 300,000 or 400,0000 ?
Those cars run forever and if you did not have to stop for fuel they could run forever.

I had one and even after having the motor engulfed in a fire it still started ran and I drove it for another 2 weeks.

Lesson learned: Do not go all out 4x4 off-roading in a Toyota Carolla in tall dry grass because you will get stuck and have your CAT set the field on fire.

Make sure you buy a quality water pump. I'd gladly pay more for one that doesn't fail in a year or so. Cheapest isn't always the lowest price. I don't mind fixing things, but I hates fixing things that were already fixed.
