MotoringFile reader David Bromberg sent us this question the other day. Does anyone wave anymore? When I got my R53 in early 2005, one of the great things about owning the car was the sense of community. If you saw another MINI on the road, you knew how much fun they were having and would [...] More...
I wave at every MINI I pass, although with dark tinted windows I know they mostly don't see me............but it's the thought that counts!
I always wave, and really disappointed when the wave isn't returned. I waved at two old ladies in a countryman this morning and they probably thought I was a pervert!!
I wave..... But you can almost anticipate if you will get a return wave. Women and girls don't return my waves. Other guy's return waves (Hmmmm what's that mean?). Must be a feeling of security that perhaps plays into it.
I wave to every MINI I see and my wife waves for me if I don't see it. I even wave when I'm riding in my wife's Explorer or driving the F350. Don't get much response those times for some reason. Jim
There's got to be a universally recognized wave for those times when driving the old pickemup that says "I'd rather be driving my MINI". Except who looks at an old pickup driving by unless it's a '35 Terraplane?
Yep, I wave obsessively, even on the interstate where I'm pretty sure they can't see me. Oh, and I wave when driving the F250 - again I don't get many responses for some reason
I wave but don't always look to see if they are waving back.. A few years ago most would always wave back, now not so much!!!
I'm thinking we have a biased sample here. If you love your MINI enough to be on the forums, you probably wave.
