This is what I have planned...

Thats just under 3K miles with no side trips.

Why the less direct route from Indy to WinterPark? I've never been to Nebraska.

BTW, thats a screen cap ya'll see. Can't add the code from the Google Maps site to a post and get it to display properly.

My route is too dull for words, let alone pictures.....I-70 west to Denver, then follow the signs to WP.

Gotta admit tho, the superslab is a great way to get someplace quickly - relatively speaking.

BTW, Nebraska is just a boring as Kansas till you get about to the western state line.......oh, and don't blink when you drive thru the Nebraska State Forest or you'll miss it. I think I counted 7 trees! :D

We are considering taking a "Grand Tour" of Colorado, after the event - if we're not too tired of driving by then.

So Tim, you're taking your vacation before the MTTS/MITM events?

Or, is this your route home?

Believe me, you haven't missed a thing by never driving through that part of Nebraska. I've driven that route more times than I care to remember, and will be doing it again in a couple weeks.
I usually sleep most of the way; and that's when I'm driving! :eek6:

You can get a good cup of coffee in Gothenburg, though; keep that in mind.

Yeah. A lot like Iowa; but fewer hills, less green, and the corn looks sick.

Let's see, Iowa Sweet Corn, Nebraska Corn (flat on flat), then you get to the flats of NE Colorado. :eek6:

Then you get to MITM, Winter Park, MTTS, then all is good again.

See you all here, I have driven 70 East via Kansas, sunflowers and wheat, 76 to 80 East via Nebraska, corn and wheat and no trees until Lincoln.

Oh I am happy I live in Colorado. Thank you all for reminding me.
