    Hi KittyMini,

Feel free to call me toll free 866 707 9292 or PM me or email me or Skype me (octane.guy)...all contact info can be found at ShowCarDetailing.com

My online store is at ShowCarSupplies.com

All the products are listed in order of usage. We prep the paint by washing and claying it. Then we polish it, then protect it. Then over time we maintain it. If you can't find something, just email me or PM me here on MA. I was the first California dealer and one of the few that actively uses it professionally and up until the downturn of the economy have been teaming up with Prima at the major MINI events to demo the products so I'm very knowledgeable about them!

I don't know where you are in the country, but I encourage all my SoCal customers to come down to my 10,000 SF shop and see the products first hand, and I'll spend an hour with you showing how Prima will work on your paint. You'll get to see what kind of improvement can be made with what products with what tools. I'm also starting up my free weekend clinics again which usually has about 20 to 30 people showing up with their cars.

Wait, the question was...you're looking to buy Prima right? Lol. I'm happy to offer as much or as little information as you need. :cornut:

    Richard

    Thanks Nathan!!!

    Thanks!

    Just bookmarked that site.

Unfortunately, I am in PA, so a weekend road trip out to your shop is out :prrr:
If I have any questions, I will certainly call, thanks again!

Aw ok! Kinda reminds me of a customer that placed an order from Florida and chose Will Call Pickup, not realizing I was in California, lol. :D

Cool! Look forward to hearing from you.

I'd suspect that if M/A had Zaino sponsors it would probably be more widely used in the community. Many of us tend to stick close to one product line once we find we like. There are many quality brands on the market and not enough time to experiment with them all.

Might it be time to start a thread on the pros and cons of various methodologies?

Myself, I like to use many of the Zymol line of products. Dare I say there is something rather primal or maybe sensual when using HD Cleanse and Councours by hand...oh yeah, the MINI looks incredible when complete.

This is how I feel when I caress the paint after claying it feeling for bumps and irregularities in the paint. Smooth on Prima Amigo on the paint and caress it off with a Prima Monster Fluffy as it glides across the paint while taking in its wonderful aroma.... I'd say yes...we might be weirdos to the uninitiated, but we are happy weirdos with beautiful cars.

Tried the Prima line and wasn't as impressed as most, but I do have a light colored car and the Zaino gives me the finish I like. And it lasts quite a bit longer than the Prima did, at least for me.

I would encourage KittyMini to visit, if possible, Zaino HQ and see for herself.

I actually went to one of Richard's free clinics and he taught me how to do a basic detail. Before that I didn't even know what a clay bar was. I left there with a PC and a few Prima products and I love the results I get so I am happy to support Richard and his products. After hanging out with him for a day, I will go with his knowledge and experience when it comes to detailing anyday.

Using the appropriate Prima product makes all the difference in the world. I don't recommend customers with brilliant white cars to use a carnauba wax unless they want an aged look to their paint. Durability is only one factor when determining the system for you. Ease of use, and how it makes your paint look are equally as important. Prima sets itself apart from other brands by offering practical, scalable, easy to use and learn products, that can make you say wow, to jaw dropping, OMG WOW depending on how much effort you put into it. My professional work is on the latter end of the scale and demonstrates what 12 to 20+ hours of polishing can do using the same Prima as you would use at home.

This is what Prima can do to a 2009 M3(Make a white car shine)

Make a 2006 metallic blue Porsche pop without losing the richness and depth in the color unlike Zaino.

Or this to a metallic black Z4M
    [IMG]

Finally beware when people post shots that show how reflective or mirror like their car looks. Here's a perfect example. A customer brought his wifes Mercedes to me to find out what Prima products he should buy. From first glance it looks pretty good.

But under the sunlight, the paint really looks like this
    [IMG]

But just a few minutes of polishing with a Porter Cable random orbital polisher and Prima, the paint is fixed. Look how much lighter the swirled out side on the right looks. Imagine how much darker and more contrasty that first shot of the Mercedes will look after it's polished!

Knowing what products to choose, why, and how makes all the difference in the world. Making blanket statements that one brand is better than another based on a single factor like durability misses out on one of the most important reasons to wax your car....to make it look its best.

And my rebuttal would be that for the average enthusiast the Prima products are more time consuming and req more work than the Zaino products do. I have used both and the Zaino out performs Prima for my use. Very easy to apply. Not a lot of effort needed to get an excellent finish. And very durable.

I am not discounting Richards experience or offers of help, but there are better products out there depending on what you are looking for.
