When I see a notification of a new article or garage, I click on New Articles or New Item, to see the new thing. but when I am done looking at the new item it still shows that there is a new item in the page header. I have to click on Mark Read or Mark viewed, to make the notification go away. Shouldn't just viewing the article clear the notification?
Hmm.. yes it should go away as soon as you open the article. Are you opening them or just clicking on the "Number"..
I wasn't clicking on the pictures as they were big enough to see easily. I found that if I do click on the pictures for a larger view, the notification goes away.
Am I correct to understand you were already in the article when you clicked on the picture? If so, I would think that would have taken that Article off the new list.. i.e. you shouldn't have to do anything more than click on the "new" article.
