    Trying to help a buddy and doing this from an iPhone so Search not easy to use.
    He's on the road near Columbia, SC.
    Power Steering Fluid is low.
    Can any PS Fluid be used or is it MINI-specific?

    No you need CHF 11s fluid for the power steering. BMW, Mercedes and some VW use it if that helps you find it.

    Fluid secured yesterday and added.
    Seems there is a NAPA not too far from Carolina Motorsports Park (Kershaw)
    He reports all is now well.
