Ok...so my 2010 MCS auto is at the dealer for a window tint issue, and they gave me a loaner 2010 Cabrio S auto to use...but this Cabrio feels like a different creature than mine when operating in manual shift and/or sport mode. My 2010 has about 1500 miles more than this Cabrio, but the Cabrio feels like a docile slug compared to mine, and wondering why? When Shifting the Cabrio manually, it feels like it still has some slip when changing gears, it just doesn't have the snap like mine has. When I get the revs up on mine and manually shift, it doesn't screw around...it'll pretty much snap through the gears with hardly a wink of slip or hesitation. Mine truly has a manual slap stick feel to it, but this Cabrio?...gear changes don't feel much different no matter what the shifting mode is. Anyone have an idea why this is? Could it be the way the Cabrio been driven for so long? BTW, talk about a nasty blind spot in this Cabrio when looking over the shoulders, thought the hatch was bad!
It could be the adaptive learning of the computer, but I'm with Nathan... I bet someone took their 15 year-old out in the loaner for a 'how to drive a manual' lesson and fried the clutch.
