I am going to change the drive belt on my Justa. Is it best to replace the tensioner while I have wheel well liner off? Also thinking of changing the gearbox oil (5 speed manual). Any recommendations on the best oil to use?

How many miles on your MINI? That would tell me if I'd replace the tensioner. I replaced my at 110,000 or so & man did it need it. My MINI translation has Redline in it.

I'd be inclined to keep it if it passes a close inspection.
