BMW has a history of producing enormous amounts of parts and sitting them on shelves for many years. However when it comes to accessories long-term availability is something less than a certain thing. And when it comes to a new brand and a new sub-brand within it, you can imagine BMW was relatively safe with [...] [IMG]

Every time I look at that leather dash I like it more and more. That is a very unique accessory.

Well if my MINI holds together which it hasn't lately, I plan to keep "improving" it by using non BMW suppliers, that is..if I wanted a leather dash, I'd go to my interior guy. I know one day my cloth/leather seats will need to be replaced, and I'll do custom work on that too. I knew it was only a matter of time before these parts would not be available again. Glad I got my JCW CF dash from Nathan, lol. I've even thought about buying and storing an aero kit front/rear bumper as spares down the road...but I guess not anymore, lol.

    Sad:(
I gotta search for all leather versions of steering wheel, shifter, and e-brake. I got the Alcantara ones but the steering wheel is getting little Alcantara dingleberries near the 9 & 3 leather positions. But surprisingly the shifter and e-brake are holding up well.

I got one of each wheel. Ah, the joy of two Minis. Anyway, my Alcantara also developed the dingleberry disease. Bought a lint shaver from Bed, Bath and Beyond for about $8. All is well again.
