Engine Drivetrain 2nd Gen S R56 Gear Question?

    About to change my tranny lube and need to know if the differential has hypoid gears. Want to use Redline MT-85 75W85 GL-4 and Redline says it's not to be used with hypoid gear diffs. Help! :confused5:

    The front drive transmission in a MINI has no hypoid gears.

    The rear end of a rear drive car does have hypoid gears. Hypoid gears require a high pressure lubricant.
