I've been lurking for a few months. I found MA when reading about Chris Wilson's Rally Mini build. I bought my 2010 Justa about a year and a half ago. I'm in Montana, so inevitably I started driving some dirt roads. the Mini on dirt was really fun. Early this year I started looking into rally and tried finding any Mini Coopers that are being rallied. The rally mini build has been the only source of information I've been able to find in detail. After months of playing with the idea, I took a trip to DirtFish and did a one day class to make sure I really wanted to do this. And it only made the addiction stronger. I don't have a ton of time until next summer because I'm finishing up my last year of college. For the time being, I'm just going to save up money. What I've done already isn't much. A couple practical things and some painting. Skid Plate (I drive this in winter and my local streets don't get plowed. Skid plate is needed protection from some of the ice ruts that form) New grill (Noticed better cooling when getting into triple digit temperatures) Currently mounting a set of four driving lights (installed the mounts yesterday, will do the electrical when I have the time) Blacking out all that chrome How it started: A day on the dirt: About a month ago:
