OK, it's not at all one of my favorite places to be in the Columbus area but this is a pretty cool show. Scattered about in various parking areas in Easton are a bunch of cars. Last year we saw everything from a brand new McLaren to some vintage Indy Roadsters and everything in-between. Runs from 3-9pm. I tend to park by Barnes and Noble then walk around from there. My pictures from last year.
Man, I had completely forgot about it and had planned on going since I work pretty much right across the street. But with all the work to do on the new house and packing the old place I just cant take the time. Plus the fiance would probably stab me if I stopped to drool over cars and left her to do work.
Stopped at the show on the way home from work. There were some nice cars but it could have been a bigger show. Got to say hi to Bobby himself. Saw his Kirkham 427 Cobra and his GT 350. There was a also a 64 Cooper Monaco.
A little disappointed with the show. I'm surprised they don't get a better turnout of cars. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
I saw a couple of interesting vehicles heading west on Morse Rd out of New Albany on my way home. 430 Spyder, very bright yellow Cayenne, what appeared to be a flat black Lambo (saw it briefly going through a round about). Was wondering if they were heading to Easton.
yes, exactly. i was at a tech briefing session all day at our office there and it looked like rain any minute for awhile. they had one of the parking areas right next to our office. Got to see a 2013 458 Italia Spyder(I am a sucker for Ferrari's-my absolute favorite brand), in black. The owner had his window sticker laminated and sitting on the passenger seat.....$292k beans....Also an '88 Testarosa, Fisker Karma(meh), a couple of classic Morgans and two Viper R/T 10's. It was a nice surprise. I had no idea this was going on. I was getting out of my truck in the morning, and I see this black 458 pulling into the parking lot and wondering why would someone have that car out on a day like today? Then it became obvious.....
Jeff and Brian, none of those cars were there at 6:00. The show was on one section of street in front of Coopers Hawk, maybe 15 cars and 7 of them belonged to Rahal. It was a poor show. The Powell Show in 2 weeks is one of the best of the year. Lots of cars from classics to exotics to muscle cars! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
Ah, the king of Ohio racing....i remember driving from Memphis to Mid-Ohio virtually every year to watch the Indy Cars(back when they were actual race cars--you know, before Tony George killed it all:cryin: ), when he was driving for Mr. Trueman....Wonderful guy....and his kid ain't a bad racer either...
