I've been thinking about intakes, googleing, reading… and I was wondering if anyone has used a ram air intake. I like the idea of putting the hood scoop to actual use rather than cosmetic, but I have only found one review that says it sucks up water in the automatic car wash. I don't see much difference between the Madness Motorworks, AEM, or DDM. Does anyone recommend any of these? Would I be better off with a standard CAI setup? Or a K&N drop in filter?:confused5: Thoughts?
I've had the DDM RIS since 2009. I can't really comment on any power gains since I added it at the same time as an exhaust system. My only gripe is that it did start to show a little rust on the scoop after a couple of winters. That was with weekly spray downs during the winter too! I'm happy with it, but be sure you're cleaning it meticulously during the winter if you live in an area where they salt the roads.
