Yup that's not an April fools joke.

That's what Big Brother BMW is doing to ruin the unique little Mini brand.

I will not be buying another New MINI unless its an 06 GP or a classic mini.

Same images that are on MotoringFile

With all the electronics they are saddling the car with BMW is making it a "no mod, dealer only works on it" car.

That is the case with most new cars. It will only get worse I'm sure. :frown2:

    Designed by Hipsters for Hipsters.....

Surprised it even got a tachometer.... They must have struggled with that one since it's only half a tach stuck on the side of the speedometer.....

They probably got rid of the dipstick too.... Wonder where they are putting the extra latte cup holders......

The manual will be killed off next.... It's considered too distracting.... Can't have that thing competing with the info center with the telephone light display...

IMHO, the ruination of our beloved MINI by the parent company is quite evident, what with all the new models and their interior designs. I wonder, if such changes were made to the Bimmer M-class cars, would the wailing EVER cease?

I'm actually more upset that they're doing away with the round air vents with the cool knob in the center you turn to open and close. That's one of my favorite features on the MINI dash.

ruination.... My word of the day. Thanks Jeff. :D

BMW has screwed their own cars up pretty good too. Every generation of them gets a little more screwed up. It's ruination I tell you! :eek:ut:

Fifty years from now the gearheads will reminisce longingly about the glory days when you could get the the M-series that had the engine noise playing through audio system...

OK put me down for one vote in the looks better than the R56 column. The Mickey Mouse center stack drove me away from the new MINIs, I personally hate the look of it.

I also think the current generation 3 series is dam near perfect, the ergonomics are spot on and it handles really well.

I am very interested in the Gen 3 Justa if it comes with a 3 cylinder and is light weight. The Gen 2 cars I personally hate the interior, it is a personal thing and it kept me away from the Clubman when I was looking for added space.

I am no Indian giver the LightInSight is yours for keeps :)

I was just kidding agout the LightInSight. However, I DO want to see you back behind the wheel of a MINI again. It's just not the same without you.

I'll make a donation to the "Donuts for Allen's Kids [or their daddy] Fund" when I see you next.

The next thing Mini will add to the infotainment system is a payment app so we can insert our credits cards into the CD slot for service repairs and car payments.

Look at it in a more positive way gang. If they left everything the way it was, then you all would have nothing to talk about and M/A would be a very dull place.:lol:

The next big thing will be sealed bonnets that can only be opened by the dealer, plus a sticker that reads NO USER SERVICEABLE PARTS INSIDE.
