So on the way home I stopped at the speedway up the street from my house. On leaving after I pulled out of the lot, I got rear ended by a young lady. Thankfully nobody was hurt other than my cars feelings really. Unfortunately the police cited me for the accident stating that it was because I turned left and therefor it's my fault. Blargh. Just my luck. Though on the bright side I guess, as I was standing there waiting for the police, I got a call from HR at work to set up an interview for a manager position on Friday. So hopefully that goes well. Something good has gotta happen now, right?
Glad everyone is fine. That looks like an easy fix, mostly superficial. Good luck with the promotion.
Sorry to hear about the fender bender but I'm glad you are ok. Hopefully, your new position will soothe the cost of repairs!
Just a interview for now, sadly no guarntees. I'm sure I'll have to get estimates from a couple places. I might check with eurotech, I've had work done there on an older car, they did good work. Any other suggestions?
I could really use a couple of body shop recommendations from the Columbus crew. My old goto was TruePerformance, but they are just too far away to be really useful at this point in time. Thanks in advance.
Bummer to hear about the accident....Someone rear ends you and it's your fault? Hope it gets fixed soon.....:cornut: Best of luck on the promotion interview.....
Sorry you got hit. I too don't understand you being sited. My go to body shop has closed its doors. Hope someone chimes in with a good shop for you.
Wait, that sounds wrong, like illegally wrong. When someone hits you from behind it's their fault for not paying attention / following too close. I'm pretty sure that's Ohio law. In fact, I'm going to look that up if I can....
Officer stated that based on his opinion that I was not straight after making the turn, or just completing the turn as she hit me, making it my fault.
Too bad your MINI isn't dark silver.... I could fix you up with real good deal on a perfect rear bumper...
Interview is today at 3. Thanks for the support guys!!! The appraiser is gonna be here in about 20 mins to do my appraisal.. And I am actually being solicited by body shops. Need to decide on one. I was told about a good one up in the Short North.
Since it look like all you need is a bumper cover and to have that painted, at least that what it looks like in the picture. Then Keens does a great job with paint work, they did a stellar job matching my Space Blue Metallic paint recently. The caveat is mine was their first MINI. It was also a complex job and there are some issues that still need to be addressed. Another option, if it is only the bumper cover that needs to be replaced and painted is to pick up Metalman's rear bumper cover and have it painted. then do the install yourself. Might even be less than your deductible too.
I think the support on that side was crushed. The appraiser will let me know here in a few mins. Im pretty sure I want to avoid the body shops that are offering to cover my deductible, like the one that just called. Just seems fishy to me, they have to be cutting corners.
Appraiser said that its the bumper cover, impact bar and a couple small clips needs replaced for sure. Might be more once they get the bumper off. The appraiser even too $100 off my deductible, sweet. And I have the check in hand. Now I just gotta choose a shop.
