I've had a couple of these, but the current one died, and I'm looking for a better one. Anybody know of a good rechargeable small-flashlight that plugs into the cigarette lighter? Something a little brighter than the usual 0.5W 30 lumen ones that I'm seeing on Amazon or Google searches. It should also be short enough to fit into the MINI's socket.
I just got one off of Ebay. Can't beat the price. Stainless LED CAR Cigarette Lighter Rechargable Battery Flashlight Torch | eBay Avro
I have two of these, one for the glove box and one in my tool box for quick jobs, because nothing beats a Streamlight. (well unless money is no problem) Streamlight 66120 Stylus Pro Penlight with White LED, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0025Y3NIK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
My favorite small replaceable battery flashlight is my Fenix L2D (current model is the LD22) - Fenix LD22 G2 LED Flashlight . I just got the bigger, brighter LD41 Fenix LD41 LED Flashlight - NEW - Fenix-Store . Really nice. It's nice to have a little rechargeable light to keep plugged into the cig lighter socket, though.
I have a couple of those free LED flashlights from Harbor Freight, they are real bright and with good batteries in them, they last and last. http://www.harborfreight.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/i/m/image_21029.jpg
I've got a couple of the Fenix lights... (2 TK-20's and an old TK-15) They are ridiculous bright, and very durable. The TK-15 gets beat around in my camping box after I retired it from normal use. It was mounted to my M4 my whole last deployment, and got the crap beat out of it bouncing around in the cab of my scraper. The aluminum is gouged pretty good in spots but the lens has never cracked, and its never stopped working! I liked it so much that when the newer models came out I got two more, one for general use, and one set up to mount on my AR-15 that goes camping with me. That setup saved me from a pack of coyotes one night up in the sticks... A rifle is useless unless you can see your target! When it comes to hand held lights I would take a Fenix over anything! Surefire and Stream Light, just dont hold up as well when they are abused.
Update: I got a Nebo Highlight. About the same brightness, size, and shape as the Spotlight did when it was new, but fits the socket better, don't have to futz with it to get it to charge.
