Renaissance wax is a micro-crystalline wax polish that is used by the British Museum to protect it's metals from tarnish and oxidation. I don't think it would hold up to the weather, but perhaps a coat after claying the paint and sealing it before another coat of premium wax. I am not a student of detailing...but I will be. As always, TIA for any discussion or help...

Renaissance Wax is great for a collectable gun, sword or something of that nature. It's not for cars or anything else subject to being out in the weather.

Lot of difference between a preservation wax for furniture etc and car wax and sealants.
