So I have a set of Enkei Performance Imola in 17 X 7.5 that I will be repainting and putting on my 2003 Indi Blue MCS. I'm having a tough time deciding between black and silver for the wheels. Please vote for a color (I've included white in the voting as well). Thanks!

How about an anthracite color? I always thought glossy black didn't look good with blue, but a dark gray would be great. Same goes for clothes - dark blue and black don't go, but dark blue and charcoal are okay.

    Roof is white.

    How do I know that?

I clicked on Garage icon and looked.

    D. None of the above.

I agree with the anthracite suggestion or better yet gunmetal.

Restricted to those three options I'll vote for black but if it was me I'd make it matte or some other version of low gloss...same for the anthracite/gunmetal. If it has to be glossy then I'd change my vote to silver to avoid the never-quite-clean-enough white wheel syndrome.

I am going with white- the roof/wheels same color look just appeals to me.

But yeah, those white wheels are gonna be a pain to keep clean- just gotta keep up with them.

it's not THAT bad and white wheels look hot. 100% worth it. buy some P21S wheel cleaner. The end.

Even when dirty they look clean from a distance.

    I vote "white" too.

BTW: Gun metal wheels are actually a brownish shade, which surprised me.

Most of my wheels have been semi-gloss black. I love the low-maintenance aspect of that color choice, but I didn't want to default to that yet again without considering the options.

Gunmetal, or some other dark but non-black color is an interesting idea. I will be powder coating the wheels, so I'd have to find the powder. I have an oven in the garage that *just* allows the wheels to fit inside without touching the wheel face or scorching the paint.

I had white wheels once - Centerline RPM 17" wheels. They looked good, so good in fact that they were stolen off of the car one night.

They can be but gunmetal varies in shade and color. You definitely need to see which gunmetal you're getting before buying blindly. In fact, having looked at a couple sets of gunmetal wheels with no apparent brown color at a nearby shop I assumed that's what gunmetal always looked like other than variations in shade. So, I ordered a different wheel style also called gunmetal and was surprised when they arrived and the dark grayish color had an obvious brownish tint. I like it though and still have the wheels, they look great on my Indi Blue R50.

I like our anthracite wheels. They don't look dirty, just less shiny!

Also you might look at Aaron's (agranger) powder coated wheels in his garage. They are probably lighter than you would want as he has a PW but they look good!

Wheel diversity. One side black wheels the side white. New vanity tag of EBNYIVRY.

    LOL!

Actually, if you limit the differences to each side, nobody will know. You can never see both sides at once...:biggrin5:

Regardless the color, just curious what's the process for painting? I would imagine gloss black would be slightly more forgiving of any painting imprefections
