Hello. Well last week I replaced my plastic coolant tank with a RMW aluminum tank and I noticed that the 3 wires from the plug that goes to the ignition coil are touching the metal tank under hard acceleration. Needles to say the plastic insulation has been degraded a bit and I am worried that it will melt to the point that they will cause a short circuit and all hell will break loose. No I have not contacted rmw about this I can already see the reply stating that those tanks have been used for years with no problems etc...
Has anyone else ever seen this happened?
Any input very much appreciated. This is on a r53
    Thanks

Why not? Why such an assumption that you'll just be blown off? I honestly think Jan wants to know that you're having this issue.

Never dealt with RMW myself, but from everything I've heard about Jan, he would be willing to work with you.

Every M/A site sponsor that I have I have dealt with wanted to make sure the customer received what they paid for. I have never worked with Jan but from all the posts I have read here, you would be making a mistake not to.

Like everyone said Jan is a stand up guy. Also check your motor mounts. I don't know the year of your R53 but if there is black oil under the mount on the passenger side, by the pulleys it needs to be changed.

Pretty confident your motor mounts are shot. Mine is close, but not close enough to hit, unless the motor was rocking considerably.

Thats pretty lame that you put up a thread about a problem you are having rather than going directly to the vendor you got it from.
I know it would frustrate me if i was in Jans position, I cant speak directly for him but i know he would rather solve your problem than have you post this on a forum.
I know thats not what you would mean it as but some people would read it as you dont want to deal with him.
That said, I do think your mounts are shot, And i do have the parts you need in stock.
