Went to get hay with the pickup and was pulling out onto a rural, two lane road. Good visibility in both directions, with a blind hill to the left, but plenty of distance for an oncoming car to crest it and be no problem. I was half way across when a car popped over the rise and had to be doing 80 the way it was closing the gap. Odd, how in those split seconds the front scoop identified what it was in my subconscious. It had two choices at that point. A three foot drop into a ditch and a culvert pipe or the rear of my truck with 800 pounds of hay on board. He hit hit brakes and I hit the gas. It is a good thing that MINI's are not that wide. Jim
Ahhh... You both were waiting for the other to initiate the wave... I have this mental picture of you flapping and flailing away at the wheel like I remember doing in those electric bumper cars at the fair... Glad no one was hurt....
Neighbor? Might be time for a talk about sensible driving on blind hills. Good your OK and a MINI did not bite the ditch or the hay in your truck. As said, good thinking on your part and his/her squeezing past. Take care, have a beer. Don
I loved the one with the photog taking the picture after almost getting taken out by the rally car.......
Looks like natural selection wasnt present when these events happened. What's will all these idiots crossing the railroad tracks like that???!?!
