Just checking in everybody I just picked up my 2004 R50 here in New Orleans. I a great little car British Racing green white roof w/sunroof. Got a good price on it do to it has 180k miles on it, runs like a champ shift smooth. after scouring the web for info on these little beast and getting a good look under the hood found the strut mounts were bad. installed some new ones along with some of the under support plates to prevent mushrooming. Gonna hold off on mods for a while till I get a few miles on it myself to see were I stand with it mechanically but so far 500 miles and no issues.
Welcome to the site! Good choice there. It's a LOT more miles than my '02 R50 has (70K). Given the 180K miles I think I'd take the wait a little while and see approach as well. Let us know how it goes.
