According to the last shop I took my car to for an alignment, my tie rods are seized. I got new ones from Rock Auto, sourced bellows/boots from the dealer, but no dealers in my area have 2 clamp rings between them. Do I really need a clamp ring, or would two stacked nuts also do the job? Is it possible to cut through the old tie rod with say, a sawzall, or a metal grinder? I kind of need the card back on the road by Sunday at the latest, otherwise I'm going to have to get a rental.
