I have a '10 MCS that has just under 50k miles on it and according to the Service reminder, I have about 3,600 miles left before the next service is due... I'd like to get it in before it hits 50k miles so that we can get one last service done before we start paying for them... My question is, since there are 3,600 miles left to go, would they let me do that so early? Or am I out of luck? Thanks, -Jason
Really does depend on the dealer. If they are one where it takes a few weeks to get an appointment then call and make one right away letting them know you you are getting close on the service reminder. I'd warn them upfront that due to the time factor in getting in there it will be over 50K but that you want to get this done under the service contract. Then go out and drive it like you stole it to get that counter to come down faster!
^^^ Each dealer plays by their own rules sometimes. I'd suggest calling them and see what they say over the phone. And if you don't like the answer try your next closest MINI dealer and see what they say. Then determine if the driving distance is worth it. Hopefully you have a good dealer.... Good luck....
LOL! Our Mini dealer usually takes appointments about a week out (sometimes longer if you need a loaner car)... And since I drive about 90 miles a day (commute), a week is about now for me setting up a service... I'll give them a call then and see what they say... Thanks! -Jason
We're always there (we go to almost all their promotions they do) and they *seem* pretty cool... I'll keep my fingers crossed that they really *are* cool... LOL!
