very cool doc, i like the way the wheel appears to stop and roll the other way. i know some very intelligent MA member knows the term for that. boxcars
I did notice that on accleration it seems to move forward and letting off the gas it looks to go backwards, it was fun...
Nice video...still have one of those cameras on my list...it's a long list though so don't know when I'll get to it. I've never heard a scientific name for that effect. I think it's just called the wagon wheel or reverse rotation effect.
Thanks, working on another with several different camera positions but with only one camera you have to run same course three or four times to get different angles of same road. Oh well more reasons for Motoring the MINI...:smilewinkgrin:
I sold my 2 GoPro cameras because of the wind noise in the recordings, among other reasons. Did you try the "low" audio setting to mitigate the noise? I also found it a PITA that I had to start the camera before I got in the car and so on, but I sure liked the way they were built and the video image was very good....
That was a GoPro HD, records in 1080 resolution, was first attempt at it, it came with two backs for housing,the one used was the solid waterproof back,they say you should use the other for in car to get more engine noise or exhaust note. Yes I'm with you on having to start recording then get in car and same with ending recording it is a PITA. they need a remote start/stop. Also instructions are not the easiest to follow. Do like the quality though.
