Before I put on the Scosche MagicMount, would appreciate suggestions, pics & feedback on your preferred mount location. Thanks![IMG]

I use my MINI FINI cupholder to hold my phone while I'm driving.. It's close to the lighter for recharging a phone, etc.

There's a nice one in all three of my Minis, made by Panavise"

I got the first one with my first Mini, the others I bought to have the same experience in all cars. It bolts to the support structure on the right of the dash, perfect angle. You need to buy the mount and a matching cradle that goes with it to match your device. Not cheap. The custom metal mount alone is $30 on amazon - looks like this

the adapter plate with the holder are another $17

Best picture I have in the car, and it's not holding a "phone" but a "bad ESN" phone that has been converted to a gauge cluster - here showing me boost, throttle position and coolant temp, and whatever the round thing was all about. Can be customized all day long. The app is free, the connection is bluetooth via OBD2 connector that's less htan $10 on ebay.

My daughter's Subaru Outback came with a marble sized steel ball mount stuck to the dash with 3M sticky foil - all I had to do is get a matching magnet ring and a sticky piece of metal to go on her phone case. Really cool solution, although I am always a bit skeptical with strong magnets anywhere near a digital storage device. Look up VAVA holder on Anazon. It is a hell of a lot cheaper than what I have in my car, but it's essentially taped to the dash. on the other hand, I kept it in the car I got for my daughter, because that tape is so strong, I really didn't want to damage the dash while trying to remove it.

Interesting - I just looked at it. Assume you can view it now?

Agreed - maybe its the old school in me where magnets erased disk.

I have a Cravenspeed also. One thing I noticed was the bolt on the arm when the steering wheel is lowered hits the dash. Anyone else see this?

Thanks, guys. I've used magnets w/o trouble. Very convenient. Just wanted to see location options. My fear is that the 3M tape might be damaging, to wherever it's stuck, upon removal. Seen some uncared gen1s w/ plastics turning gummy.
I recalled some added cupholders to our existing ones. Anyone here got em? Any thoughts?[IMG][IMG]

They are not dealing with those strengths of magnets.
