I was just checking out some Japanese tuners and found some interesting parts. Google Translate Most of the usual with a few trick parts. A large selection of suspension parts. Motul/ lamanova oil cooler looks promising, (i wonder what the advantage over rad is?) Brake master cylinder reinforcement (RHD only but i wonder if it makes a big difference?) cusco chassis brace (wow, looks serious) and a trick whole car setup (very serious, easy on the eyes) Google Translate if you click on the GP intercooler picture you can see the oil cooler installed. that is all -Jonathan
If I remember correctly Laminova has a patent on their product. It could be considered as being similar to the way an intercooler works. Basically you bring two liquids into close proximity to each other separated by barrier that allows heat transfer from one liquid to another. For more detail go here;Laminova
But isn't that what the stock "oil cooler" does? See part #11427509212 I don't see how it's better. :confused5:
BThayer23 Yes, similar concept. The MINI is limited in size and transfer surface area and the amount of heat transfer that can take place. The Laminova product is available several size selections based on the requirements (street versus race applications have different expectations).
The Japanese to English translation just kills me. Somewhere, someplace there's an oriental rolling around on the floor, blowing tea out of his nose, reading a translated MINI performance web site from over here.:lol::lol:
I'm trying to understand what they've done to the front wheel arch here. What is that, and extension for tire clearance?
Dang that picture brought my computer to it's knees  That looks like the whole lower bumper is different? Or they just didn't close the hood.
My understanding is that the lamanova cooler is much more efficient then the stock oil/water cooler. i imagine much more stable oil temps with a bit less plumbing compared to air/oil as well as no need for a thermostat in really cold weather. I too was wondering what they did with the front fender edge. That chin is sexy!! -Jonathan
You might want to contact designms. He recently joined M/A at my invitation. Runs a shop in Engen, Germany that I bought some vented fenders from. He seems to have some Japanese sources. I know he sells Duell products.
Hai; Desire much needed. Having strong sense of major Yen inadequate. 399,000 Yen = $4,727.21 USD:eek6:
