    Guys,
My JCW coupe was lying unused frm last 3 weeks, as i was on a Vacation. Today, when i started the Car, it went normal. I let the engine run for 10-15 mins, then tried to reverse the car. I heard a strange sound, like someone hitting the car with metal, the car was not smooth after that n when i apply breaks the breaks make full noise , there is a vibration felt on the steering.. vehicle is taking time to stop even at a speed of 30-35 mph
Even the engine sound is different, its dead silent when i am driving..i
Any idea, what caused to this?

    Thanks,
    Raj

If you left the parking brake on it may have stuck. The noise you heard was it letting go. Also the brake disks may be a little rusty from sitting. If so they will get quitter after a few stops.

MCS02 has it that the brakes just got a little rusty sitting still. A couple of good stops will clean them up. The vibration may be from the tires getting a little flat spot from sitting. Once they get up to temp on the highway or back road they'll be fine. Though you may want to check your air pressure.

Perform Italian tune up and brake moderately while doing it.
