Well it was a year ago today that we brought Spike home to meet the rest of the family. Born July 2008, he arrived at the dealer Jan 18th 2009 (seems like a long gap, but whatever). We negotiated him on the 19th and officially adopted him on Jan 20th, 2009. My 6'3" sons were less than impressed with fitting in the back seats and I refused to insure Spike for them to drive, but so what Since coming home, he's helped me to feel young again. Always eager to play, never disobeying when I step on the gas. Never leaving me stranded. There were a couple of 'training episodes' at first, like the stuck sunroof (which was eventually replaced) and the cold-start rattle but since then its been smooth sailing. I run Spike sparingly as I'm frequently on my bike so since being adopted he's only done 3400 miles. He loves to come to my hockey games and doesn't mind me stuffing all my goalie gear in the back. I look forward to many happy years ahead with him. Our journey's just begun. Happy 1st Birthday Spike! PS, Spike doesn't know it yet, but he's got a Stage 1 Kit coming as his present. Don't tell him though please, it'll spoil the surprise
Spike, have a very happy birthday, I'm sure there will be many more!!! Oh, work on your owner to get you out more Mark
