How do I remove those ugly stickers on the sun visors? In the past I have used goof off but it doesn't seem to budge them. Thanks, Lou
I used rubbing alcohol and enough elbow grease to detail an entire MINI. There is still a faint shadow in the material where they were but they are GONE.
I covered mine with MINI sticker, devised just for that purpose, but alas, they are no longer available. :frown2:
^^^ Yup I did the same thing but I used an piece of black vinyl to cover them up. I just cut it a little bigger that the warning label.
R53 owners can cover the stock ones with these. It's better than looking at an illustration of a baby being decapitated by the airbag.
↑If my daughter had her way my car would be covered in those. I've already had to peel off disney princess stickers. One of the benefits of a perpetually dirty car is that at least they peel off easily.
I, too, found the yellow decals on the sun visors annoying and believing that they could not be removed without leaving an ugly trace of where they were, looked to find a way to cover them up. Chose a commercial application for a solution. It was low cost and quick - only a couple minutes to apply. With the view that maybe a seatbelt warning could be helpful, I found a better worded and more readable message for the passenger side visor. Not needing such a message for the driver's side, since I always use my seat belt, I choose a black jack for a bit of British image. Purchased these stickers from the artist who makes the sunshades with eye expressions - Artistic Reflection. http://www.artisticreflection.com/fu...r-stickers.htm They come in two's for $8.00. So, I do have an extra set of this mismatched pair. Giving thought to buying a second MINI - if so, the offensive yellow will be quickly dispensed.
To the OP: I would suggest giving up on this thread (it has become very silly) and move your headquarters over to the Ethereal Spirits - Mellow Time thread. The guys over there take things much more seriously and the advice is provably sound. It won't contribute to a solution for your sticker problem but what you learn therein, you may no longer care.
FWIW, I removed mine years ago by soaking a folded paper towel in rubbing alcohol, flipping the visor up so the label was on "top", and laying the alcohol-impregnated folded towel on the label for hours / overnight. Label lifted right off without a trace and no elbow grease required.
